FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

Manages and motivates all front office personnel to include hiring, supervision, training, communicating objectives, disciplining, scheduling and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Basic mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to Communicate fluently and effectively with guests and employees. Dutch, Papiamentu and Spanish are also desired.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to analyze information and make effective judgments.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system (OnQ).

EDUCATION:

4 year college degree; Hotel Management degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of two years combined prior front desk and management experience is preferred.
